Renting a Car For Spring Break
As the snow melts and the flowers bloom, the excitement of spring is in the air. Whether you’re a student who can see the light at the end of the tunnel, or a father of rambunctious kids, you’re probably getting ready for a spring break getaway. But sometimes the stress of vacation planning can make you feel like you need a vacation from your vacation.
Here at Summit Fleet we want to make life easier for you. Whether you have a business or personal need, our rental trucks and cars will be available and ready for you to enjoy your “you” time. Here’s a how-to spring break guide for renting a vehicle.
Insurance Coverage
We do offer rental car insurance coverage if it’s needed, but check with your personal insurance company first. In general, the coverage that you have on your personal vehicles will extend to a rental car. That’s one less thing you’ll have to worry about as you pay for hotels and travel.
Choose Your Vehicle
Booking your vehicle early on will ensure that we can have the ideal car available and ready for your big trip. Economy rental cars are good for gas mileage if you’re traveling across the country. If you’re going hiking or camping you may want a truck or van that provides additional space for equipment and passengers.
Pack Smart
It’s inevitable that one of the kids will forget his hiking shoes or your friend will forget her wallet. Make sure everyone in the group has a comprehensive packing list as well as a general itinerary of the travel plans. When packing your car or pickup rental, make sure heavy equipment is on bottom, followed by suitcases and then pack coolers and food on top for easy snack access.
We’re committed to your spring break experience being easy to plan and memorable. Our representatives are available for questions or to help assist you however we can.
